El presente trabajo busca actualizar la informacionrespecto de la aplicacion que ha tenido en losultimos anos el Tratado de Libre Comercio deAmerica del Norte, suscrito en 1994 por EstadosUnidos, Canada y Mexico. Se pasa revista a losantecedentes de esta norma internacional, asi comolos efectos que ha tenido en diversas ramas de laeconomia y se aborda, de manera especial, el temarelativo a los impactos que dicho Tratado ha tenidoen el mundo laboral. Se comentan los casos que sehan presentado al amparo del Acuerdo deCooperacion Laboral para America del Norte;documento este que en su momento se firmo demanera complementaria al Tratado. De esta manera,se aportan datos e ideas con las cuales se buscaprofundizar en el analisis sobre las implicacionesde la globalizacion en las relaciones laborales.
