Très souvent ignoré dans les recherches en sciences de l’information, le renseignement n’en constitue pas moins une préoccupation importante des États modernes. Devant la nature asymétrique des menaces actuelles, il devient de plus en plus nécessaire que les différents États et leurs services de renseignements collaborent entre eux. En plus d’illustrer l’importance d’une telle coopération, cet article démontre la nécessité pour les spécialistes de l’information d’accorder une importance particulière à l’analyse de ce champ d’étude.
