Abstract
Virtuellement ignorée de l’histoire littéraire, Yvonne Le Maître présente le cas, fort singulier, d’une trajectoire menant du journalisme franco-américain à la fréquentation des cercles avant-gardistes parisiens et à la participation à des périodiques américains comme le Smart Set. À partir d’une analyse de ses textes et d’une comparaison avec les générations contemporaines d’écrivaines canadiennesfrançaises, le présent article entend exposer son parcours, dans ce qu’il a d’exceptionnel comme dans ce qu’il a d’exemplaire.
