Abstract
Acknowledgment: I wish to fully acknowledge the commitment and enthusiasm of participating teachers, students, and school administration at the Creative Arts Centre, Milton Williams School, Calgary Board of Education, Calgary, Alberta, Canada from 1997 to 2001. We shared a common understanding of the importance and significances of the aesthetic in teaching and learning. All examples of student/teacher work included are the products of research participants at the Creative Arts Center. A special thank you is extended to these participants who so generously shared their curricular activities and thinking.
