Abstract
Résumé La présentation de concerts, d'expositions, de récitals de poésie ou la visite de sites patrimoniaux ne suffit pas à donner accès à la culture. Pour comprendre et tirer profit de ce qu'on lui présente, le public doit être éduqué. Les modalités de cette éducation sont identifiées et discutées à l'occasion de l'analyse d'un événement annuel: « Les Journées de la culture québécoise ». De cette analyse découlent également des principes de gestion, qui apparaissent comme des conditions essentielles au succès de l'action éducative. Activities such as attending concerts, musuems' expositions, poetry readings, or visiting historical sites are not sufficient for accessing culture. In order to understand and fully benefit from what is presented, the public needs to be educated. The methods and conditions of this education are described and discussed through the analysis of an annual cultural event in Quebec: "Les journées de la culture quebecoise." From this analysis, management principles follow which seem to be necessary conditions for the success of educative action.
