Abstract
El objetivo de este estudio es verificar las cualidades métricas del ETA-20 (Escala Toronto de Alexitimia-20)con una muestra de estudiantes universitarios brasileños e, comparar los resultados conseguidos aquí con los deotros países. Constituyó-se a muestra de 489 estudiantes de ambos los sexos y con edades de 16 a 51 años, dela educación superior, de la red privada. El índice Alpha de Cronbach (=0.765) para la escala total, con lamuestra fuera comparable con las otras muestras de estudiantes, de otros países (esos habían variado de 0.68los 0.84). Los resultados de la adecuación al modelo tridimensional, para la muestra brasileña (2/gl=3.67;GFI=0.881; AGFI=0.851; RMSEA=0,074), son perfectamente comparables a ésos presentados en estudios deotros países
