A metodologia Pedagogia Empreendedora (PE) é uma abordagem pedagógica projetada para apoiar a aprendizagem empreendedora no ensino fundamental. Com base em sistemas e pensamento visionário, a PE foi desenvolvida para dar suporte à processos de aprendizagem e ação voltados ao contexto empreendedor. O programa utiliza materiais elaborados especialmente para este projeto. No ano de 2002 foi realizado um teste-piloto. Já em 2003 e 2004, 6.352 professores e 173.304 estudantes entusiasticamente participaram do programa, em 1.566 escolas de ensino fundamental, no Estado do Paraná, Brasil. Em todo o país, um total de 340 mil estudantes estiveram envolvidos no projeto, totalizando 123 cidades num período de dois anos. Este artigo apresenta o conteúdo e resultados da aplicação da PE e discute a importância do programa para o florescimento do espírito e da ação empreendedora, com base na descrição e discussão do projeto realizado no Paraná. Trata-se do olhar para o ensino do empreendedorismo através das lentes da autoidentidade, da democracia, da cooperação e da aprendizagem, elementos considerados como pilares na construção do autodesenvolvimento.
