Abstract
Cet article réexamine, à la lumière de dix ans d’interventions publiques et de recherche, la pertinence des constats énoncés en 1992 dans un article antérieur de la revue (no 2, 1992) quant à un éventuel impact de l’accession à la souveraineté sur les relations ethniques au Québec. Quatre domaines sont particulièrement explorés : l’émergence d’un modèle de nation pluraliste, la politique de sélection et la composition du mouvement migratoire, la dynamique d’intégration linguistique des allophones ainsi que l’évolution des attitudes et des comportements des Québécois d’origine française à l’égard des immigrants et des Québécois des communautés culturelles. Des pistes de questionnements et de recherche répondant à l’évolution cernée sont également proposées en conclusion.
