Abstract
Cette etude, menee par Statistique Canada, tente d'identifier qui sont les personnes qui poursuivent leurs etudes a l'âge adulte et les retombees de ces apprentissages. L'etude est fondee sur les donnees de l'Enquete sur la dynamique du travail et du revenu (EDTR) et documente les modeles de participation et les repercussions sur les gains et les salaires des etudes a l'âge adulte pour la periode de reference de 1997 a 2000. Elle demontre que les adultes qui poursuivent leur scolarisation et qui obtiennent un certificat postsecondaire voient leur remuneration augmenter de facon significative. Les resultats montrent que la decision de poursuivre des etudes comporte une correlation etroite avec diverses caracteristiques individuelles comme l'âge, le niveau de scolarite initial et l'etat matrimonial.
