Abstract
Les auteurs, après avoir expliqué ce que c'est que de souffrir d'une dépression et les conséquences impliquées, font ensuite une critique de l'institution psychiatrique. Ils décrivent leur projet : Solidarité-psychiatrie inspiré par l'expérience de D. W. Winnicott et le concept d'institution de M. Mannoni. Le but du projet est de fournir un lieu de rencontre pour les gens concernés par la réalité de la maladie mentale où ils refléteraient les différents aspects de la maladie mentale et apprendraient à lire ses manifestations dans la vie quotidienne. Le projet est devenu opérationnel en avril 1979, depuis lors plus de 100 personnes en ont bénéficié. Elles ont des rencontres hebdomadaires, des activités continues comme le jeu théâtral, des discussions régulières sur des thèmes variés ; trois comités ont été formés : 1) un comité pour l'atelier théâtre ; 2) un comité pour la réflexion ; 3) un comité pour faire face aux urgences. Elles ont aussi travaillé sur les procédures nécessaires pour obtenir une charte.
