Cet ouvrage est issu d’un groupe de travail consacré à la didactique dans lequel un sous-groupe a cherché à définir le champ de la didactique professionnelle. Pierre Pastré et Renan Samurçay avaient joué un rôle moteur dans ce sous-groupe et la disparition de cette dernière a retardé la publication de l’ouvrage que Pastré a dû être le seul à préfacer.
