Abstract
Malgré la distance temporelle et spatiale, les romans du XIXe siècle traitant de l'adultère et Le Roman de Tristan et Iseut (12e siècle) entretiennent un rapport d'analogie et de contiguïté tel que l'analyse révèle des aspects que le palimpseste éclaire par ses propriétés. Le roman du 12e siècle constitue l'hypotexte et prend ainsi toute la part du mythe fondateur.
