La Bildung dans quatre nouvelles du Sort de Fille de Michael Delisle*

Abstract
Plusieurs oeuvres narratives de Michael Delisle abordent le thème de l’initiation dans le cadre de la banlieue de la rive sud de Montréal des années 1960 et 1970. Dans les nouvelles d’Helen avec un secret et du Sort de Fille, les rencontres que font les protagonistes (généralement adolescents) constituent autant d’événements initiatiques vécus dans l’adversité. Dans Le sort de Fille, ces initiations, malgré la logique du recueil de textes indépendants qui est la sienne, composent une véritable Bildung, donc un ensemble coordonné d’initiations, malgré l’apparente diversité des personnages qui en font l’objet. C’est à définir l’unité et la syntaxe de cette Bildung dans quatre des sept nouvelles du Sort de Fille que s’attèle l’auteur de cet article.
