Abstract
L’histoire des morisques a surtout été étudiée uniquement dans le contexte de l’histoire de l’Espagne. Bien que le processus fût strictement interne, on ne peut nier que les différents événements qui eurent lieu en Méditerranée influèrent sur l’évolution et le devenir de cette minorité. L’expansion de l’Empire ottoman eut aussi des conséquences sur le développement de la situation interne de l’Espagne et sur les mesures politiques prises à l’encontre des « nouveaux-chrétiens de maures ». L’expulsion ne peut s’expliquer en se fondant uniquement sur ces données, cependant elles expliquent mieux les événements internes à l’Espagne après la révolte des Alpujarras.
