Abstract
La popularité grandissante des médias sociaux a réactualisé un discours présent depuis les débuts du réseau Internet, selon lequel les usagers du cyberespace, contribuant à la production du contenu en ligne, participent à l’essor de nouvelles structures de production appelées à révolutionner les industries de la culture. En quittant le simple statut de consommateur pour devenir générateur de contenu, l’internaute contribuerait activement au développement culturel de sa communauté et à la circulation de nouvelles formes de productions. En s’intéressant au rôle tenu par le réseau Internet dans la circulation de la production culturelle autochtone au Québec et au Canada, l’auteur a observé en quoi le cyberespace permet d’enrichir la production traditionnelle et comment le Web contribue à diversifier l’offre et à modifier les usages. En somme, dans quelle mesure les nouveaux moyens de communication contribuent- ils à élargir la prise de parole ou à renforcer la domination de médias déjà existants ?
