Les pratiques enseignantes sont décrites par les recherches comme stables et persistantes, en dépit d’injonctions curriculaires renouvelées. Dans le contexte de l’implantation d’un nouveau programme d’Histoire et éducation à la citoyenneté, où les finalités normatives découlent d’un changement de paradigme épistémologique, quelles influences l’épistémologie personnelle et les finalités des enseignants québécois de cette discipline au secondaire peuvent-elles avoir sur la relation entre leurs pratiques enseignantes et les finalités prescrites par le programme ? Une étude multicas a permis de dégager les patterns communs aux pratiques de sept de ces enseignants, ainsi que les facteurs médiateurs des relations qu’elles entretiennent avec le curriculum et certains éléments culturels professionnels et sociaux.
