À un moment où les transformations dans les industries des médias donnent lieu à de multiples inquiétudes, un groupe hétérogène de photojournalistes indiens articule des éléments de l’esthétique classique indienne ainsi que le concept de darshan avec le discours de l’instant décisif dans l’idée d’établir un champ local de possibilités photographiques. Cette esthétique particulière semble offrir le double avantage d’assurer la valeur morale des photojournalistes vétérans tout en protégeant la puissance universelle de la photographie des effets corrosifs du processus de marchandisation de l’industrie des médias d’informations.
