Abstract
L’anorexie mentale semble être un objet particulièrement résistant à l’analyse sociale. Au fil du temps, une variété de cadres conceptuels et théoriques a été mise au point, mais, au-delà du discours, aucun ne parvient à rendre compte vraiment de sa genèse sociale. En fait, il faudrait plutôt s’attacher à l’expérience incarnée du trouble et replacer le corps au premier plan pour mettre en évidence les processus sociaux en jeu dans le phénomène. En conséquence, l’anorexie invite à explorer l’expérience sensible, incarnée de la vie sociale, et représente un terrain de choix pour progresser dans l’élaboration d’un cadre conceptuel permettant d’en rendre compte.
