Abstract
Dans son livre de 1995 : « L’amour terroriste », hélas épuisé, V.A. Miller décrit, pour les couples qu’il reçoit en thérapie, une évolution de plus en plus fréquente : d’une relation fusionnelle, appelée à combler tous les manques, à une relation de pouvoir régie par l’angoisse, qu’il qualifie de « terrorisme intime » ; ce phénomène, d’une ampleur récente, trouverait sa source dans les transformations de la société contemporaine. Cette mise en perspective retient notre intérêt, mais l’analyse sociologique nous paraît approximative et les propositions thérapeutiques ne nous enthousiasment pas. Elle nous permet toutefois d’ouvrir des pistes de travail pour les thérapies de couple.
