Abstract
Comment l'enfant est-il «produit» dans des sociétés contemporaines où s'est accrue la dépendance entre la famille et l'école ? Comment devient-il élève? La sociologie de « 1'habitus » ne s'intéressait guère à cette question. Des recherches plus récentes analysent les pratiques parentales et tentent d'identifier des processus et des configurations familiales. Les recherches d'ESCOL sur le rapport des jeunes au savoir et à l'école rencontrent cette question des pratiques parentales et de ce que s'en approprient les jeunes. Sont ici analysés les formes de mobilisation parentale sur l'école, les liens que les jeunes établissent entre lieux, personnes et types d'apprentissages, et les processus subjectifs et intersubjectifs de mobilisation scolaire des parents et de leurs enfants.
