Abstract
In the United States and Canada as well as in other countries, there has been rapid growth in soil-cement paving construction. The outstanding performance record of the millions of square yards of soil-cement proves that the testing and construction principles are sound. One characteristic of soil-cement is that it suffers from shrinkage cracks caused by frost heaving during the winter season and frost boiling during the thawing season. In this study, material characteristics of soil-cement pavement will be examined through laboratory and pilot test of soil-cement mixture containing polymer that has been used for Latex Modified Concrete to enhance the resistance for cracks that occur to soil-cement pavement.
