Abstract
La douleur est un phénomène complexe qui comporte de multiples dimensions. Nous savons également que le système nociceptif interagit avec le système nerveux autonome (SNA). Or, comme il existe des différences importantes entre les hommes et les femmes face à la perception de la douleur, il n’est pas surprenant de constater que les hommes et les femmes ont des réactions physiologiques qui sont parfois opposées. Cette revue s’intéresse plus particulièrement aux différences entre les hommes et les femmes au niveau de la réactivité autonomique et cardiovasculaire à la douleur.
