Cette recherche s'inscrit dans un projet pluridisciplinaire dont l'objectif était de préciser l'état du transport fluvial de marchandises en France métropolitaine et d'identifier les conditions nécessaires à son développement. Réalisée au Port Autonome de Strasbourg, elle a plus spécifiquement porté sur la gestion des opérations de transbordement de conteneurs. Outre les différentes opérations (déchargement, chargement...) effectuées dans la plate-forme multimodale, qui sont autant de sources potentielles de dysfonctionnements, la phase de changement de mode est soumise aux aléas inhérents aux conditions d'acheminement. Les contraintes temporelles et le risque d'accumulation de retards exigent toutefois de réguler les situations dégradées le plus rapidement possible. A travers l'analyse ergonomique de l'activité de travail, c'est la planification et l'ordonnancement dynamique qui participent à la fluidification des opérations de changements de mode que nous abordons.
