Abstract We selected a group of 11 B-type emission-line stars with large IR excesses, which show a steep flux decrease towards longer wavelengths. Analysis of their observational characteristics has been carried out on the basis of the data collected from literature, results of our recent photometric and high-resolution spectroscopic observations. Possible nature and evolutionary state of the group objects are discussed.
