An Investigation of Teachers’ Difficulties in Students’ Acquisitions of Values in Social Studies Lesson in terms of Various Variables. The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers’ difficulties in students’ acquisitions of values in social studies lesson in terms of various variables. The sample of the study consists of 145 primary school teachers working in Adana city during 2010-2011 academic years. Two questionnaires developed by researchers separately for the teachers of fifth and seventh grades were used. At the end of the study, it is determined that among the teachers of fifth grade, females and those who have seniority of between 1-10 years have more difficulties, but no significant difference is found in terms of whether they work in central or village schools; among the seventh grades, teachers working in villages have more difficulties than those of who work in central schools, but no significant difference is found in terms of genders and seniorities; among both fifth and seventh grades, the teachers graduated from faculty of education have more difficulties.
