Abstract
La contraception hormonale se distingue des méthodes contraceptives antérieures en ce qu’elle investit les processus vitaux de l’organisme. Mais comment comprendre que la manipulation de la physiologie puisse contribuer à résoudre un problème social sans pour autant assimiler la reproduction à une contrainte biologique s’imposant aux femmes ? Poser cette question, c’est en fait se demander si le modelage hormonal des corps est en mesure de modifier les rapports de genre ; et cela suppose à son tour d’examiner précisément les liens entre corporéité, subjectivité et identité de genre. À cette fin, cet article s’emploie à caractériser le mode d’objectivation des corps propre à la pilule et, au vu de sa spécificité relativement à la médiation médicale, au temps, à la conscience et à l’effort, il s’interroge également sur la reconfiguration des luttes féministes qu’appelle cette nouvelle classe de techniques de soi biomédicales, dont relève la contraception hormonale.
