Abstract
Durant les années 1930-1940, les tenants du corporatisme social se sont opposés au développement d'un État interventionniste de type keynésien parce que, selon eux, celui-ci était incompatible avec les caractères propres des Canadiens français et contraire à leur émancipation. Ils proposaient plutôt un projet de société qui reposerait sur la création d'associations corporatives médiatisant les rapports entre l'État et les individus. Leur anti-libéralisme leur faisait privilégier la mobilisation nationale et la prise en charge de l'économie, et rejeter l'option keynésienne.
