Abstract
'Neuzeitliche Gesundheitsdiskurse folgen der Logik der Dialektik der Aufklärung. In dem Maße, wie sich mit der Herausbildung eines neuzeitlichen Menschen- und Weltverständnisses Vorstellungen der Beeinflussbarkeit von Gesundheit und Krankheit durch individuelle und soziale Aktivitäten entwickelten, begann auch der Siegeszug der modernen Medizin, die zunehmend die gesellschaftliche Regie über Gesundheit und Krankheit übernahm. Gesundheitsförderung im Sinne der Ottawa-Charta bemüht sich um eine Perspektive der Wiedergewinnung von Selbst- und Sozialwirksamkeit der Subjekte in Bezug auf Gesundheitshandeln. In der Verknüpfung von Konzepten der Gesundheitsförderung mit der aktuellen sozialwissenschaftlichen Identitätsforschung ergeben sich innovative gesundheitswissenschaftliche Perspektiven. Vor allem das salutogenetische Grundkonzept hat mit seiner Fokussierung auf das Kohärenzprinzip eine wichtige Brückenfunktion übernommen. Allerdings muss es im Sinne einer reflexiv-modernen Theorieentwicklung aus den Rahmungen traditioneller Identitätskonzepte herausgeführt werden.' (Autorenreferat)
