Abstract
"Se determinó la composición físico-química y digestibilidad in vivo de los ensilajes químico biológicos de residuos pesqueros en el salmón del Atlántico Salmo salar (Linnaeus 1758). El ensilaje químico se preparó con 2 % de ácido sulfúrico, 98 y 1 % de ácido fórmico (p/v), y el biológico con 12 % de azúcar de remolacha y 3 % de yogurt (Lactobacillus bulgaris (p/p)). Los peces (141.64 + 28.68 g de peso promedio y 25.91+ 1.70 cm de longitud) se distribuyeron al azar, según modelo de clasificación simple, en tres tratamientos triplicados (una dieta de referencia y dos experimentales con cada silo). Se utilizó óxido crómico como indicador inerte. Las heces se recolectaron por decantación en tanques cilindro-cónicos, de tipo Guelph modificado. La composición química mostró que los contenidos de proteína de los ensilajes (52.1 y 38.3 %) disminuyeron (P < 0.001) con respecto a los residuos frescos (60.2 %), debido a la adición de los preservantes en el producto final. La digestibilidad de los nutrientes difirió en función del tipo de ensilaje. La proteína resultó mayor (P < 0.001) para el ensilaje químico (86.1%), mientras que la materia seca (80.34 %), lípidos (98.65 %), fósforo (56.5 %) y energía (87.28 %) lo fueron para el biológico. La digestibilidad de las cenizas no difirió entre los silos (51.1 y 54.1 %). Se concluye que los ensilajes de residuos pesqueros variaron su composición química, pero no alteraron su valor nutricional, por lo que constituyen una fuente de proteína alternativa en la formulación de raciones para salmón del Atlántico."
