La communauté d’apprentissage offre plusieurs possibilités de développement professionnel aux enseignants. Puisqu’un flou conceptuel règne autour de ce concept et qu’il nuit à son application, cet article en propose une définition englobante en fonction de ses dimensions affective, cognitive et idéologique. Selon l’analyse de contenu réalisée, la communauté d’apprentissage se définit comme un lieu de partage et de soutien entre enseignants. Elle permet la construction de savoirs individuels et collectifs, l’ajustement des pratiques et la recherche de sens. Les praticiens y apprivoisent un savoir savant ou participent à son élaboration, tout en contribuant à l’édification d’une vision partagée dans l’école.
