Abstract
La réduction de la durée hebdomadaire légale du travail, en France, intervient dans une période de vieillissement de la population active. Si la diminution du nombre d’heures, par elle-même, offre la possibilité d’alléger le volume de travail et sa pénibilité, cette décroissance s’accompagne souvent de modifications dans d’autres domaines de l’organisation du travail : extension des horaires alternants ou nocturnes, resserrement des contraintes temporelles, moindres possibilités de préparer et anticiper les changements dans le travail. En ergonomie et en psychologie du travail, les connaissances disponibles sur le vieillissement au travail permettent de s’interroger sur les conséquences de ces modifications pour les salariés vieillissants.
