Abstract
Cette étude porte sur la représentation de l’adolescente dans trois romans d’Anne Hébert où se matérialise l’agentivité des jeunes héroïnes appelées à s’énoncer selon leurs désirs et leurs valeurs, bien qu’elles rêvent d’un prince charmant. Il s’agit de montrer que les adolescentes, si préoccupées soient-elles par la quête d’un idéal amoureux, expriment leur dissidence à l’endroit d’un ordre patriarcal prônant l’assujettissement aux modèles de la femme traditionnelle. Si les jeunes protagonistes sont d’abord assujetties aux fictions du patriarcat, la prise de parole les transforme en de véritables sujets et les amène à franchir les étapes les projetant sur la voie de l’agentivité.
