Abstract
Il est pertinent de faire le parallèle entre la pratique du tourisme «itinérant» du second tiers du XX e siècle et l’engouement pour le tourisme rural au début du XXI e siècle. La campagne des années 1930 a été un terrain fertile d’interventions pour l’État québécois dans le domaine du tourisme, qui a présenté l’identité canadienne-française aux urbains. Cette démarche identitaire est passée par l’organisation d’un territoire, notamment celui du monde rural québécois avec l’exemple de l’Île d’Orléans.
