Abstract
Résumé Les concours d’accès à l’École nationale d’administration, caractérisés par un haut degré de sélectivité, sont destinés à assurer un recrutement méritocratique de la haute fonction publique. Pourtant le profil des admis présente aujourd’hui comme hier certaines particularités qui reflètent, au moins en partie, l’existence d’inégales chances d’accès. Cela étant, une analyse contextualisée des données récentes montre que ces inégalités ne sont pas propres à l’ÉNA. Elles s’insèrent dans une succession de paliers de sélection tout au long du parcours scolaire et des études supérieures. Les concours d’accès à l’ÉNA ainsi que le classement de sortie n’en représentent que l’étape ultime.
