Abstract
A teoria critica e uma corrente marginal na teoria das organizacoes particularmente em funcao da separacao entre a critica teorica e a pratica organizacional. Este trabalho tenta ajudar a preencher esta lacuna atraves de uma abordagem construtivista que visa examinar a relacao entre cultura local e gestao emancipadora. Para realizar este feito utilisamos um modelo de analise feita da interacao entre os indicadores de emancipacao organizacional e os elementos da cultura local e uma metodologia de pesquisa-acao participativa baseada no metodo Paulo Freire adequada aos objetivos e a essencia deste trabalho. Nossa pesquisa feita em organizacoes comunitarias da Bahia (Brasil) e de Montreal (Canada) permitiu indicar uma dissonância entre o discurso organizacional e as praticas internas baseada essencialmente nas influencias das variaveis culturais. Este trabalho, por fim, propoe entao uma nova abordagem de aprendizagem organizacional voltada para a busca de uma verdadeira gestao emancipadora.
