Dépassant une vision classique de la pratique de recherche vue comme une succession d’étapes linéaires et formelles, l’article propose une conception hétérogène de cette pratique articulant le formel et l’informel comme les deux faces d’une même pièce. Dans un premier temps, il traite de la notion de bricolage afin d’inclure l’aspect informel dans la conceptualisation. Puis, il propose de voir – et discute – la pratique comme un processus rhizomatique, à travers l’analyse d’un récit de chercheuse, brisant ainsi l’apparente linéarité du processus.
