Abstract
This report identifies and discusses some potential policy instruments for increasing the generation of electricity from small and medium scale renewable energy sources. It focuses upon potential tools and challenges to mitigate climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It also evaluate some of the key recommendations from environmental groups through a literature review and interviews with representatives from the provincial and federal governments and BC Hydro.
