Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract Hugo Münsterberg (1863–1916), a German‐American psychologist, was an influential pioneer in applied psychology. His research ranged across a number of topics, including forensic, clinical, industrial, and educational psychology. In addition to academic publications, Münsterberg was a prominent voice in the popular press, serving as a psychological expert to the public on a vast array of topics. Münsterberg's final years became increasingly overshadowed by political controversy as a result of his defense of Germany's actions in spite of the outbreak of the First World War. Although one of the best known psychologists in the United States during his career, the mounting controversy surrounding his outspoken political views contributed to an overshadowing of his professional contributions to the discipline.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.
