Abstract
Dans la plupart des entreprises privées et publiques, le ménage ou le logement est considéré comme l’unité de base pour le suivi et la planification de la consommation de biens et de services. L’exemple de la planification des besoins en électricité à Hydro-Québec sera illustré dans cette note de recherche. Pour desservir sa clientèle résidentielle dans le futur, la société d’État doit projeter l’évolution de la population, des ménages et des logements en tenant compte du type de construction et de leur emplacement géographique. Chaque section de cette étude présente les principales étapes de la prévision de la demande d’énergie à partir des perspectives démographiques.
