Les philosophies de Nietzsche et Deleuze ont en commun que la pensée, comme la vie qu’elle recèle, n’est que mouvements. Mouvements rapides et hétérogènes parcourant les surfaces, comprenant l’être lui-même comme surface à traverser. Mouvements et surface organisent un jeu, celui de la pensée. Ce jeu, que Deleuze appellera « le jeu idéal », est à comparer par ses spécificités aux sports. Mais si la pensée, par son mouvement intempestif, saute toutes les limites, le sport ne peut trouver sa validation que par la limite même. Le sport paraît alors être une pensée sédentarisée face à la déterritorialisation de toutes pensées, de celles qui réalisent l’être en dehors d’un temps, d’un sens, d’une mémoire ou d’une histoire.
