Este trabalho propõe uma reflexão sobre o ensino de francês língua estrangeira (FLE) para crianças. A primeira parte é dedicada à contextualização do ensino de línguas estrangeiras para crianças e às transformações sofridas pelo conceito de infância através dos tempos. Na segunda parte, são apresentados elementos que embasam uma breve reflexão teórica sobre as características do desenvolvimento da criança nos aspectos cognitivo, sócio-afetivo e linguístico, da relação entre a criança e a linguagem, das especificidades do ensino que visa a este público e da importância de uma abordagem lúdica através do jogo no ensino de FLE para crianças. A terceira parte propõe uma breve análise a respeito da organização dos recursos didáticos. Na quarta e última parte, procura-se discutir algumas possibilidades de avaliação do processo de aprendizagem e do desempenho do público infantil.
