Abstract
Eine 14-jährige Quarterhorse-Stute wies seit mehr als zwölf Monaten rezidivierenden Vaginalausfluss.Die Stute zeigte seit etwa einem Jahr honigartigen Ausfluss und zeitweise Pollakisurie und Polyurie.Zwei Wochen vor der Vorstellung in der Klinik hatte die Stute blutigen Vaginalausfluss.Die vom Haustierarzt diagnostizierte Umfangsvermehrung im Uterus konnte endoskopisch als 23 x 21 x 18 cm große Umfangsvermehrung im Bereich des Corpus uteri bestätigt werden.Es wurde eine Ovariohysterektomie durchgeführt.Für die pathohistologische Untersuchung des Tumors wurden repräsentative Lokalisationen der Umfangsvermehrung standardmäßig aufgearbeitet und anhand einer H.E.-Färbung untersucht.Immunhistologische Verfahren dienten dem Nachweis der Expression von Desmin und α-Aktin in den Tumorzellen.Zehn Tage nach Ovariohysterektomie wurde die Stute bei gutem Allgemeinbefinden entlassen.Bei der pathologisch-histologischen Untersuchung wurde der Tumor als malignitätsverdächtiges gut bis mäßig differenziertes, infiltrativ wachsendes Leiomyom klassifiziert.Uterustumoren bei der Stute sind selten, können aber -wie in diesem Fall -ausgeprägte klinische Symptome hervorrufen.
