Abstract
Résumé De nombreux gestionnaires s’interrogent sur le bien-fondé de la réforme actuelle de la gouvernance, qui vise à améliorer la qualité de l’information financière. Cette réforme a-t-elle eu les effets escomptés? Dans le dernier numéro de Gestion , les auteurs de cet article ont examiné la recherche qui traite des principaux facteurs touchés par cette réforme, lesquels semblent contribuer à la qualité de l’information financière. Cet article présente les caractéristiques du management et de la structure de propriété, facteurs également susceptibles d’agir sur la qualité de l’information financière. Il décrit d’abord les variables liées au management, à la structure de propriété et aux autres facteurs relatifs à la qualité de l’information financière. Il explique ensuite les raisons des relations possibles entre ces variables et la qualité de l’information financière. Il expose enfin les résultats des études empiriques qui ont examiné ces relations présumées.
