Abstract
La présente enquête porte sur la notation et offre la retranscription d’entretiens réalisés par la compositrice Marie-Pierre Brasset avec trois chefs d’orchestre de la scène de la création musicale contemporaine montréalaise, soit Lorraine Vaillancourt, Véronique Lacroix et Walter Boudreau. Dans ces entrevues menées individuellement, les chefs dévoilent la nature particulière de leur lien avec la notation et partagent diverses réflexions nourries de leur vaste expérience. Au fil des entretiens, les chefs ne manquent pas de souligner les écueils souvent rencontrés dans leur métier, mais expriment aussi leur admiration devant le haut degré de sophistication du système notationnel d’aujourd’hui.
