Abstract
A generalization of the Weierstrass system of equations corresponding to CP2 harmonic maps is presented. This generalization allows us to study two-dimensional surfaces immersed in a flat space R8 with Euclidean metric. We use this system to suggest a possible geometrical interpretation of CP2 harmonic maps.
