Abstract
El objetivo de este estudio es analizar la arquitectura tradicional de la Canada de los Once Pueblos, en el Estado de Michoacan, Mexico, para conocer las caracteristicas constructivas, y materiales de la vivienda tradicional y su adecuacion al medio ambiente. El analisis que se hace se refiere principalmente al patrimonio arquitectonico que no aparece en los inventarios oficiales, debido a que se supone que carece de “monumentalidad”, pero paradojicamente integra la gran mayoria del patrimonio construido del pais. Para las mediciones de temperaturas y humedad relativa que se realizaron en la poblacion de Zopoco se procedio a escoger una vivienda que reuniera las caracteristicas tradicionales de la zona de acuerdo al esquema considerado como unidad basica, es decir aquel que conserva la distribucion espacial de: cuarto, portico, tapanco; y que por sus materiales responda al esquema de la vivienda tradicional: cimientos de piedra, muros de adobe y cubierta de teja de barro. En la parte cuantitativa del analisis se presentan los datos del monitoreo del comportamiento termico de la vivienda, asi como resultados y conclusiones de esta evaluacion.
