Trastornos psicosomáticos y su rela-ción con alexitimia, ansiedad, depresión y demanda de ayuda psicológica

Abstract
El objetivo de este estudio ex post facto fue evaluar la prevalencia de algunos trastornos psicosomaticos en un grupo de adultos jovenes, asi como examinar su relacion con la alexitimia, ansiedad, depresion y demanda de ayuda psicologica o psiquiatrica. Una muestra de 365 estudiantes de una universidad francesa respondio un cuestionario de afecciones neuropsicosomaticas, el Inventario de Ansiedad Estado-Rasgo y el cuestionario de Alexitimia de Toronto. Los resultados muestran el nivel de las alteraciones psicosomaticas evaluadas. Los trastornos mas frecuentes fueron los dolores articulares y lumbalgia, alergias nasales y jaqueca. Los participantes, con al menos cuatro trastornos psicosomaticos, puntuaron, significativamente, mas alto en la alexitimia y en el Inventario de Ansiedad Estado-Rasgo, presentaron mas depresion y habian consultado en mayor medida a un psicologo o psiquiatra. La alexitimia no resulto ser un predictor de la pertenencia al grupo con mas trastornos psicosomaticos, sino que la ausencia de ansiedad-rasgo y de demanda de ayuda psicologica o psiquiatrica resultaron factores protectores en este grupo.
