Abstract
Les auteurs font d’abord ressortir, pour l’ensemble du Québec, l’ampleur statistique du phénomène des élèves ayant obtenu un certificat d’admissibilité à l’école anglaise (ayants droit) et fréquentant le secteur français. L’analyse tient compte des variations selon les régions, les groupes linguistiques (anglophones, francophones et allophones), les ordres d’enseignement (préscolaire, primaire et secondaire) et le statut public ou privé des écoles. Les auteurs cherchent également à saisir l’impact sur le secteur français de la présence d’ayants droit en son sein. Ils procèdent enfin à une analyse plus fine du phénomène à l’échelle montréalaise, afin d’établir des comparaisons avec le reste du Québec et de dégager le type d’établissement scolaire et les zones géographiques où se concentrent les ayants droit à Montréal.
