Abstract
Vu le taux élevé des femmes dans la population active on peut dire que la situation de la femme est bonne en Finlande : 42% de la main-d'œuvre, 21% des députés au Parlement, et 15% des représentants municipaux. Par contre, on ne trouve que 5% de femmes dans les cadres supérieurs de la vie économique. Cependant, les enquêtes montrent qu'on attend toujours des femmes qu'elles gardent les charges ménagères. Et la garde des enfants reste encore imparfaitement assurée. En matière de salaires l'inégalité subsiste, et les responsables syndicales de niveau élevé sont rares. Au cours des années 60, l'action de la société sur les rôles sexuels fut importante. Mais dans les années 70, c'est dans le cadre du Conseil de l'égalité que les recherches et les réformes les plus importantes sont préparées.
