Selon Statistique Canada, les femmes sont sous-représentées en tant qu’étudiantes dans les facultés de sciences et mathématiques. Cet article présente les résultats d’une étude qualitative féministe sur les perceptions de conseillères et conseillers en orientation du Nouveau-Brunswick francophone quant à leur pratique auprès des jeunes, et plus particulièrement auprès des filles. Les résultats révèlent que les participants n’ont pas une conception informée des expériences singulières des filles ni des spécificités liées à leur cheminement de carrière. Les théories en counselling de carrière n’ont-elles pas d’abord été élaborées afin de répondre aux besoins des hommes ?
